FAQs

What are your costs?

£50 per session

Discounts are available for low income, health professionals and students

Are you a professional counsellor?

I am a fully qualified, registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. (BACP) I abide by their ethical framework and am fully insured.

What happens on my first session?

We will get to know each other, discuss your reasons for thinking about counselling, and explore how counselling can help. You will have time to talk about how you are feeling and what you would like to change or make sense of.

I will give support to you concerning using technology for our video sessions if needed.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone is different. Many people benefit from 6-8 sessions, and others continue for many months. Most people continue until they feel ready to continue without counselling. Some people come back to counselling when they experience a life changing event, changes in relationships or confusing emotions.

When are your sessions available?

I offer weekday, daytime and evening appointments.

Do you counsel teenagers and young people?

I work with 16-18 year olds, as well as adults, and would normally talk to a parent/carer on the first session.
